OUR VISION

A desire for epicureans

La Mentheuse was born from a common desire of three Languedoc friends, Lionel and Dominique Albano and Frédéric Bion. Coming from the wine and gastronomy sector, having a soft spot for digestive liqueurs of yesteryear with a strong character, they wanted to drink local and less alcoholic. An easy to share product that can appeal to gourmets and gourmands.

Labeled South of France

They therefore imagined in April 2018 after long months of research with the Grap'Sud distillery, specializing in wine alcohol near Uzès, a cream without additives, lighter in alcohol and more discreet in sugar in order to bring out the aromas natural of three mints, La Mentheuse.

Its essential complement, lemon cream, comes out in turn after a long maturation like a good wine.

The latest digestive creation from La Mentheuse has just been released: La Croqueuse! This season, the apple will be the new face of Occitania evenings.

All three contain ingredients labeled 100% Sud de France *

La Mentheuse, La Pulpeuse and La Croqueuse form a trio of low-alcoholic charm that brings a typically French moment up to date: tasting a refreshing digestif.

*LABEL Sud de France, awarded by the Occitanie region

MENTHEUSE SIDE

"We have freed ourselves from the green and sweet drinks of our grandparents, but we have retained their beautiful freshness and the comforting sweetness which remind us with delight of the mints of our childhood"

PULPEUSE SIDE

"The Pulpeuse is not related to the big limoncello family, being less alcoholic, nor to the limoncello cream being much less sweet and without adding cream. We wanted to make a French lemon liqueur."

CROQUEUSE SIDE

“We imagined its red label and not apple green to take on our innovative offbeat side and make ours the symbolism of the forbidden fruit which obviously we have fun with a fiery note of pepper "
